Marco Angius drew the attention of the audience and reviewers, conducting the world premiere of Studi per l’intonazione del mare by Salvatore Sciarrino in 2000.

Marco Angius is the founder and artistic director of the Algoritmo Ensemble. He gives master classes in conducting at the Conservatory of Lugano. Since 2009 he has been working with the National Academy of St. Cecilia. Since 2011 he has been the artistic coordinator of the Ensemble of La Scala Theater, where he conducts performances of contemporary and classical music. His recordings were made by EuroArts, Neos, Stradivarius, Die Schachtel, Rai Trade, and VDM Records.
He is the author of the books about compositions of Salvatore Sciarrino and Ivan Fedele as well as the author of numerous works narrating about contemporary composers and translated into different languages.
