October 5 at the II International Music Festival “Eurasia” will be a concert of Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra of National Instruments.
October 5 at the Second International Music Festival Eurasia a concert of Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra of National Instruments will take place, The Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the orchestra is Mr. Huichang Yan. The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra of folk instruments is one of the most famous Chinese orchestras, carefully preserving the ancient tradition of performing of the Middle Kingdom.
The famous orchestra performs equally well as traditional Chinese music as well as contemporary compositions. About a hundred musicians of the orchestra are arranged in four sections – bowed, stringed, wind and percussion instruments. They use traditional Chinese instruments, as well as their modern counterparts. As a cultural ambassador of China the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra is a frequent guest on the numerous music festivals around the world.
Festival guests will be able to become familiar with the ancient philosophy of the world due to the music of Chinese composers. For example, the play Chan Ming-chi Zen Chen Qi (1998), in his deep philosophical basis is the key concepts of Chinese thought: Qi – the energy, the main life force that is present in every living being, and Chen – the practice of Zen, leading to the Truth and enlightenment.
The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra is widely known in the USA, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Macao, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Taiwan, South Korea, Australia. The Orchestra have performed in Moscow in 2007, and their first visit to Yekaterinburg will be in October 2013.
