<p>The orchestra worked with such renowned conductors and musicians as D. Kitayenko, G. Rozhdestvensky, K. Penderecki, M. Pletnev, V. Fedoseyev, V. Gergiev, A. Boreyko, K. Tennstedt, J.-C. Casadesus, E. Inbal, M. Rostropovich, N. Petrov, Y. Bashmet, D. Hvorostovsky, E. Virsaladze, N. Gutman, B. Berezovsky, A. Knyazev, L. Isakadze, P. Donohoe, V. Repin, N. Lugansky, D. Matsuev, S. Krylov, F. Kempf and others.</p>
<p>It took part in various international festivals: Beethovenfest in Bonn, La Folle Journee, Le Festival de Radio France, Le Festival International de Piano a la Roque d’Antheron, Le Festival de Musique Classique a Saint-Riquier, Nuits de la Citadelle a Sisteron, Russian Christmas at the Kennedy Center, Arts Square International Winter Festival, Stars of the White Nights Festival, Festival of the World’s Symphony Orchestras, Crescendo, Stars on Baikal Festival, EURASIA International Music Festival, Boris Berezovsky Festival, Trans-Siberian Art Festival. It has had two subscription series – in the Concert Hall and at the New Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre.</p>
<p>The orchestra’s performances have been broadcasted by radio and television channels: Radio France, France Musique, Arte, NHK, and Kultura (Culture).</p>

<p>Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra. <p>He is a graduate of the Dmitri Kitayenko class at the Moscow Conservatory and worked as his assistant for the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra (1982–1983). He worked as the</p>
<p>chief conductor of the Kuzbass Symphony Orchestra (1991–1995), Russian conductor of the American Russian Youth Orchestra (1997–1999), conductor of the Russian National Orchestra (1999–2003). Dmitry Liss also worked with St.-Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Big Tchaikovsky State Symphony Orchestra, Novaya Rossiya (New Russia) State Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, Orchestre National d’Ile de France, Orchestre National de Lille, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, orchestras of Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, Korea and Norway.</p>
<p>In 1995 Dmitry Liss started working as the Artistic Director of the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra. Under his directorship, the orchestra gave performances in 18 countries, participated in prestigious international festivals, and recorded 28 CDs, some of them were commissioned by Warner Classics and Mirare. He is the Artistic Director of the Eurasia International Music Festival.</p>
<p>During the 2016-2017 concert season, Dmitry Liss will be working as the chief conductor of the South Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra.</p>

<p>The orchestra musicians worked with such renowned conductors as G. Pretre, G. Sinopoli, E. Inbal, G. Noseda, C.M. Giulini, W. Sawallisch, M. Rostropovich, M.-W. Chung, R. Chailly, L. Maazel, Z. Mehta, Y. Ahronovitch, M. Janowski, S. Bychkov, D. Kitayenko, A. Lazarev, V. Gergiev, R. Abbado, and K. Petrenko. The orchestra has long-term cooperation with the largest</p>
<p>radio channel in Italy (Radio3) and three television channels (Rai1, Rai3, Rai5). Its repertoire features not only the classical symphonic legacy, but also contemporary and avant-garde music. RAI has been honored to be the first performer of contemporary authors’ compositions, many of which have been commissioned by the orchestra. In 2004, the orchestra gave a number of contemporary music concerts under the umbrella title Rai NuovaMusica.</p>
<p>The orchestra takes part in festivals in Ravenna, MITO SettembreMusica, La Biennale di Venezia, Sagra Malatestiana in Rimini (Italy), Salzburg (Austria) and others. It gives performances in prestigious concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonic and Musikverein in Vienna. CD and DVD releases of orchestra recordings boast an invariably high circulation.</p>

<p>Intercontemporain, Orchestra della Svizzera italiana (Orchestra of Italian Switzerland), I Pomeriggi Musicali.</p>
<p>Marco Angius is the founder and artistic director of the Algoritmo Ensemble. He gives master classes in conducting at the Conservatory of Lugano. Since 2009 he has been working with the National Academy of St. Cecilia. Since 2011 he has been the artistic coordinator of the Ensemble of La Scala Theater, where he conducts performances of contemporary and classical music. His recordings were made by EuroArts, Neos, Stradivarius, Die Schachtel, Rai Trade, and VDM Records.</p>
<p>He is the author of the books about compositions of Salvatore Sciarrino and Ivan Fedele as well as the author of numerous works narrating about contemporary composers and translated into different languages.</p>

<p>It was conceived and founded in 2006 as an orchestra-academy combining an educational mission and concert activities. Its musicians are students studying at musical educational institutions of Ekaterinburg. They take part in rehearsals, master classes and concerts with outstanding conductors and soloists, study orchestral performing traditions.</p>

<p>Every year the orchestra musicians give more than 30 concerts, presenting over 20 concert programs to the audience. Maestro Enkhe is the artistic director and chief conductor of the Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra, which also worked with such prominent conductors and musicians as Vladimir Fedoseyev, Thomas Sanderling, <em>Saulius Sondeckis</em>, Alexander Rudin, Dmitry Liss, <em>Hans-Jörg Albrecht</em>, Leo Kremer, Sergei Krylov, Mikhail Tsinman, Rustem Abyazov, Pavel Petrenko, and Oleg Caetani. The orchestra has been honored to perform with N. Gutman, A. Rudin, S. Roldugin, A. Shilkloper, D. Kramer, V. Grokhovsky, A. <em>Korobeinikov</em>, <em>Dang Thai</em> Son, <em>J.M. Canizares</em>, N. Borisoglebsky, E. Derzhavina, D. Trifonov, D. Vasiliev, V. Gryaznov, A. Nabiulin, F. Kopachevsky, and Yu. Favorin.</p>
<p>The Russian debut of the orchestra took place at the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory in 2009, in the subscription series of concerts by the Moscow Philharmonic.</p>
<p>The Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra is a participant of international festivals – La Folle Journee, <em>Euroorchestria in Russia and France</em>, Crescendo, <em>Kogan</em><b>-</b><em>Festival</em>, Eurasia, Bach-fest, Classics on the Volga. In 2012, it was selected as the only orchestra to represent Russia at the festival of the world’s best youth orchestras – Young Euro Classic – in Berlin.</p>
<p>In 2014 the Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra launched an annual summer orchestra academy and a new group – the Tchaikovsky International Youth Orchestra that takes part in the Tchaikovsky Festival (Ekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk Region).</p>

<p>In 1991 he started working as a cellist and conductor assistant of the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra and in 1996 he became its conductor. From 1998 to 2006 Enkhe was the Director of the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra. At present, he is a conductor of the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra, participating in about 30 programs every year. Under his directorship, the orchestra gave performances with Natalia Gutman, Eliso Virsaladze, Paul Badura-Skoda, Naum Shtarkman, Dmitry Bashkirov, Boris Belkin, Sergei Stadler, Nikolai Lugansky, and Graf Murzha.</p>
<p>He is one of the founders of the Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra (2006) and its chief conductor. The orchestra takes part in prestigious international festivals in Russia and other countries, in the subscription series of concerts by the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic, educational programs for students and charitable projects for fosterlings of orphanages.</p>

<p>The Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1978. It consists of one hundred twenty musicians from twelve to twenty five years old. Over the long performing life of the orchestra, most of its ‘graduates’ continued their musical career and became soloists, members of other orchestras or music teachers. <p>The orchestra is directed by <a href="/en/eng-ng-ka-ming/">Ng Ka-ming</a>, <a href="/en/eng-pak-wing-heng/">Pak Wing-heng</a>, Yeung <em>Tak</em><i>-</i><em>man and Joseph Kam</em>. The orchestra has worked with such prominent guest conductors and soloists as Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Edward Grach, Fou T&#8217;song, Timothy Landauer, Georg Tintner, Sir David Wilcocks, Tang Muhai, Kenneth Jean, Yeh Tsung, Yip Wing-sie, Lang Lang, Colleen Lee.</p>
<p>The orchestra can be seen as a musical ambassador of Hong Kong, touring with its concert performances to France, Israel, Cyprus, United Kingdom, USA, Singapore, and China. One of the tours was made during the Week of Hong Kong at the EXPO-2010 International Exhibition in Shanghai.</p>

<p><span id="more-3582"></span>Under Pak’s directorship, the <a href="/en/eng-hong-kong-youth-symphony-orchestra/">Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra</a> took part in numerous special events and festivals in China and other countries, including the performances in the presence of Queen Elizabeth during her visit to Hong Kong (1986), the guest performance in the All Japan Band Clinic (1989), participation in the Asia and Pacific Band Directors Association (APBDA) Band Festival in Taiwan (1992), the Korea Jeju Summer Band Festival (1995, 2001), the First APBDA Band Festival (2002). Under Pak’s directorship, the orchestra gave guest performances in Guangdong and Macao in 2006; in 2010, the orchestra visited Shanghai to participate in the exchange program with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Symphony Orchestra and to give concert performances during the Week of Hong Kong at the Shanghai EXPO.</p>
<p>In 2013, Pak Wing-heng led the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra to participate in Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival in Korea.</p>
<p>He is a jury member in different music festivals and performs as a guest conductor of local and overseas symphony orchestras.</p>

<p>Ng Ka-ming graduated from the Hong Kong Conservatory of Music in 1983; he studied violin with Lin Kek-han and Carl Pini. <p>Ng Ka-ming has performed many times in Israel, Cyprus, England, France, Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore. He worked with the Halle Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Guangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra.</p>
<p>Ng Ka-ming is currently a conductor of the <a href="/en/eng-hong-kong-youth-symphony-orchestra/">Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra</a>, together with which he gave performances in Shanghai and Beijing. Under his directorship, the orchestra gave performances in Singapore, Malaysia, Guangdong Province and Macao administrative district; in 2010 he made an ambassador visit to Shanghai with participation in exchange program with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Symphony Orchestra and in performances during the Week of Hong Kong of the World Expo held in Shanghai. In 2012, at the initiative of Ng Ka-ming, the musicians of the string group of the orchestra took part in the International Youth Music Festival in Vienna, Austria.</p>

His recent chamber music recording was released under Naxos Rights International Limited.</p>
<p>As an active orchestral conductor, Joseph Kam was a member of Conductors Guild, USA. Joseph Kam is currently a conductor of the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra.</p>
